Depth of Discharge (DoD)

Depth of Discharge (DoD) is the amount of a battery’s toal energy capacity that has been used, in relation to its full capacity, and provides the inverse of the state of charge. It can be expressed as a percentage or as Amp-hours (Ah). A higher DoD indicates more energy is used,which typically shortens the battery’s lifespan.
