Pouch Cell

Pouch cells are a lightweight lithium-ion battery formatthat uses a flexible, aluminum-laminated pouch rather than a rigid metalcasing. Their design allows stacked electrodes to deliver better volumetricefficiency, lower internal resistance, 30% lower weight, high energy density, and customizable shape options. While this battery requires careful handling toprevent swelling, it is commonly used in consumer electronics, such as phonesand laptops, as well as in electric vehicles (EVs).
