Pouch Cell

Pouch cells are a lightweight lithium-ion battery format that uses a flexible, aluminum-laminated pouch rather than a rigid metal casing. Their design allows stacked electrodes to deliver better volume tricefficiency, lower internal resistance, 30% lower weight, high energy density, and customizable shape options. While this battery requires careful handling to prevent swelling, it is commonly used in consumer electronics, such as phones and laptops, as well as in electric vehicles (EVs).
