Battery Management System (BMS)

Battery management systems (BMS) are electronic systems that manage rechargeable battery packs by monitoring their state, calculating and reporting their condition, and protecting them from damage based on that data. It is designed to ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity by tracking voltage, current, and temperature to prevent overcharging and overheating. They protect cells from operating outside of safe limits, disconnecting the battery during dangerous conditions.
