Operating Temperature Range for Batteries
Operating temperature range refers to the temperature span for safe and effective battery charging, discharging, and storage. Within this range, the battery is less likely to experience temperature-related damage or performance loss; outside the range, capacity drops, charging may be unsafe, and battery life can shorten or fail. Optimal performance and maximum lifespan for lithium-ion batteries are achieved at room temperature, typically 68°F to 77°F.
