Overcharge Protection

As a critical safety feature, overcharge protection prevents charging beyond maximum voltage. It is usually monitored by a battery management system, which stops power flow when the battery reaches 100% to prevent overheating, swelling, reduced lifespan, or explosion. Sensors constantly monitor the battery’s voltage, and when the cell reaches the maximum voltage threshold, the protection circuit cuts off the charge current.
