Typically, lithium-ion, prismatic cells are housed in rigid rectangular aluminum or steel casings. They are designed to offer efficient space utilization, high capacity, and superior safety for large applications, including electric vehicles (EVs), energy storage systems, and electronics. Prismatic cells feature stacked or wound electrodes, delivering a higher energy density per cell than cylindrical designs.
